  • Describe ketamine’s medication class and how its unique properties distinguish it from other psychotropic agents.
  • Consider current research on how ketamine may promote brain changes, including neurogenesis and the role of growth factors such as BDNF and VEGF.
  • Recognize the unique considerations, benefits, and limitations of low-dose (psycholytic) ketamine within mental health treatment.
