Brainspotting Phase 2: "Attuning to Migration"
Migration is more than a journey across cities or borders--it is a journey of identity, belonging, loss, resilience, adaptation, and transformation.
Whether you migrated yourself, come from an immigrant family, or carry migration stories across generations, the experience of leaving home, losing home, carrying home, and finding home again can profoundly shape how we move through the world.
Migration
may be driven by opportunity, education, family, survival, displacement, war, or countless other circumstances. Each story is unique, yet many share common themes of courage, grief, hope, cultural negotiation, and resilience.
This Brainspotting Phase 2 offers a dedicated space for clinicians to deepen their learning and understanding of the Brainspotting phase 2 content while holding your unique experience of migration—both personally and professionally.
Together, we will explore the complex emotional, relational, cultural, and intergenerational dimensions of migration and how these experiences may emerge in the Brainspotting process.
This space welcomes first-generation and multigenerational migrants, immigrants, refugees, and anyone whose life has been shaped by migration across countries, cultures, or continents.
It is open to clinicians from all backgrounds who resonate with the experience of adapting, surviving, and ultimately thriving while navigating multiple worlds, identities, traditions, and communities.
If migration is part of your story, or the story of those you serve, we invite you to join us as we attune to the profound complexities, challenges, and strengths that accompany the search for home.
Prerequisite: Completion of Brainspotting Phase 1.
